Google Meet Hardware AUE in 2025
► What’s happening?
In June 2025, three Google Meet Hardware devices will reach their AUE dates. AUE, or auto-update expiration, is the date up until which Google guarantees that each Google Meet device will continue receiving the latest and greatest software updates as well as support from Google.
Beyond June 2025, there is no guarantee that these devices will receive any updates, including security fixes, and it is strongly encouraged to consider upgrading them as soon as possible once support has ended.
This page will be updated during 2025 as new information or potential upgrade paths become available. Questions? Contact us: info@GeckoTech.cloud

► How do I check if I have these devices?
You can find a list of all of your Google Meet Hardware in the Google admin panel. You will need to have administrator privileges to access the page. There are two ways to check if any of your devices are approaching AUE:
► Filter the list
You can filter the device list within the admin panel to see any devices that may be impacted.

In the Google admin panel:
- Navigate to the Google Meet Hardware devices page (admin.google.com > Devices > Google Meet Hardware > Devices)
- Click on the number below the heading “At or near end of Meet support” (indicated by the red box in the screenshot)
- This will filter the device list below and show you which devices are past or nearing their AUE
► Export the list
You can download an export of your device list as a spreadsheet. This is particularly useful as it will also include information about your peripherals which may be nearing the end of support.

In the Google admin panel:
- Navigate to the Google Meet Hardware devices page (admin.google.com > Devices > Google Meet Hardware > Devices)
- Click on the download icon (indicated by the green box in the screenshot)
- Select Google Sheets or CSV
- Review the spreadsheet – or send it to us for review
- Google Meet Hardware devices are listed in the column with heading “model” and for each one its AUE date is listed in the column with heading “endOfMeetSupportDate”
- Touch controllers are listed in the column with heading “connectedTouchControllers”

► Upgrading the whole room
Should this AUE event coincide with a desire to refresh the room’s entire contents, including the camera, speaker and microphone, we have the full range of available Google Meet Hardware available here with worldwide shipping. Contact us for more information.
► Why should I upgrade?
Upgrading guarantees longer-term support for your meeting room and makes sure you have the latest OS updates, security fixes and peripheral firmware.
► Will my devices stop working after the AUE date?
Not immediately. The loss of support means that your devices will no longer receive any updates (including OS, feature or security updates) but they will not immediately stop working. Whilst they continue to work, you can keep using them for Google Meet and can manage them from the admin panel, however there is no guarantee of them continuing to function. Meanwhile, those devices will be ineligible for support in cases where they stop working or if issues arise.
